First step to a full out of market app?
A new app called NewsOn will allow live newscasts (online from participating ABC affiliates and it looks like several will participate. Most online news from stations is actually clips from the News though there are a few who broadcast their news live. But you sometimes need to go to Roku to see them or hunt for them online. This app will make it easier and looks like it will be live, then available on demand.

What caught my eye is this will be advertiser supported, exactly what I and others have said for years could happen. Allow out of market programming with advertising and/or a subscription cost. It may not ever include time shifting for prime time programming, it could allow you to also watch original programming from various stations in my opinion.
