Without getting on a ladder, I'm wondering if it's possible to determine the type of Sat Dish (Legacy or DishPro). I'm using a 301.

I'm wondering if some vendors continued to use Legacy 500 setups until their inventory ran out, even if you were having a 301 installation. :what

Thanks!

Go to the point dish/signal strength screen in your menu. Then select check switch,it should show you a installation summary screen. Select details,& it should show you switch installation detalils screen. It will show you your LNB status. If you have a Dish Pro LNB, then it will say you are connected to a DP-single,twin,or quad, depending on how many ports your LNB has.

If it doesn't say DP before the LNB type, then you have a legacy LNB.

Chuckster,

Thanks for the info! :bow I know that after looking, that my question had newbie all over the place. !sadroll

Thanks again.

Here's an easier way.. if your LNBF is Dishpro, it'll have a Dishpro logo on the back (the side that faces out at you when you look at the dish)

if it's blank, it's legacy.
