I have a 921 unit with two dishes on the roof, one at 61.5 and the other the 110/119. Do I need a dish 1000 to upgrade to the 622 or will it work with my existing two dishes? Also, I assume the Dish 1000 would be the ONLY dish needed if I went that route?

Would there be an advantage to switching to the 1000 now over leaving the two dishes?

Thanks
Brian

I am in the exact same situation - 921 with dishes at 61.5 and 110/119. I think we'll be fine with what we have. If the HD locals end up at 129, it would just be a matter of repointing the one at 61.5 to 129. Someone else can confirm if the other HD stuff is mirrored on both 61.5 and 129.

If you want to upgrade and you have channel 9901, just tell dish you already have Dish 1000, they can't tell your using two dishs

Your answer depends on where you live. If you live in the Northeast US, you may barely get the line of sight (look angle and elevation) for 129 but your HD locals may launch on 61.5. So it's best to see where you live in the geographical US to see what satellite you should look at.

Silly question...if you are paying for a 622, the price includes the Dish 1000. Why not take it and swap the Dish 500 for the Dish 1000 and keep the 61.5 as well? Then with 61.5 and 129, you are covered on what shows up on both of them.

So the 1000 picks up 110/119 and 129?

Yes. If you are getting HD LILs from the New York DMA (or some of the other east coast locals) you may HAVE to go the 61.5 route.

I'm already all set as I have two SW64s looking at 110/119/61.5 already.
