Panama Central America
I am a newby to dishnetwork programming and have a particular situation, I am living in Panama (Central America NOT Florida) and would like to try to access a dishnetwork satellite, the local cable programming is pretty bad (most everything is in Spanish with no US networks and no HD)

It looks like dishnetwork on echostar 12, at position 61.5 may be available (albeit on an 8 foot dish, but that is ok)

The programming will be somewhat limited but a lot better then what I have now.

I know I will be somewhat "grey market" but I will pay for the service (not hacking) and Panama doesn't check these things. I will use a US address to enable the dishnetwork account

My first question is if I only have access to one sat does that make any difference when I try to get this all working ?

And If someone has some other ideas about problems I may run into trying to set this up please feel free to weigh in!

DISH is moving HD programming off 61.5 to 72.7 which you probably can't get. Looks like you will have to stay HD starved.

If 61.5 is the only satellite you have a chance of getting, as others have posted there won't be much on there, very little HD. The other problem will be getting a package that has enough channels on that satellite. Getting a cheaper package might not really have any of the channels on 61.5. Getting a more expensive package will have more chance of having channels on there, but you will be paying alot for channels you can not get from other satellites.
