I notice today Dish Network is not longer carry action max Cinemax within Cinemax premium package. That is why DN is having problem with Cinemax under the new aggreement.:(

Jose.

Is it just gone from the listing, or was it replaced by something? I'm not home to check.

I got the message from my DN distributor but the channel still on Dish today. It probably you won't able to continue to watch it tomorrow, thursday. If you call a CSR they don't know nothing about it. Let see what happen! I hope not.

Best, Jose.

i don't have the movie packs, but i noticed last night with the channel guide on "all channels" that acmax was "blue" (like i subscribed to it), while all the other movie channels were red. today its back to red with the other max's and hbo.

The ActionMAX (ch313) is still active and available as of this moment. It is known fact that for the past few weeks something is happening between E* and Cinamax, all notions of this package are removed from E*'s website and it is no longer avail. to order via DishHOME.
The CSR are, as usual, clueless and state that package is still there but you must call them to order. They are assuming that E* is simply updating their website?!
Some folks think that this is just the part of E*'s negotiating games and then some think that HBO could roll the Cinemax into its main HBO package...we will see (hopefully soon).

I just noticed on the Dish Network Website under programming and the movies drop down box Cinemax in still not there but it shows up if I am signed in to my account, but page cannot be found screen comes up. It is also mention on the HBO page of the site.

this is really starting to annoy the hell out of me. i love cinemax not because of the porn but because of circulation of movies they switch off between hbo and themselves. I have the everything pak and im gonna be ticked if they take off cinemax. they better drop rates to even it out if they do remove cinemax.im afraid this is going to be another lifetime threat only its going to be hbo.if they cant agree with a contract with cinemax hbo will be the next to go when their contract expires.hopefully they come to a reasonable deal.hbo already is 14.99 a month which is more than my local cable company charges so hopefully they'll come to an agreement.

I agree with most of what your saying but where I am living at HBO on cable is $17.99 it is definitely not cheaper on cable here anyway.

cinemax

damn 17.99 for hbo? wow i think cable here its 12.99. its kinda crappy that direct tv still is selling hbo for twelve bucks a month and were getting charged $15. but then again you dont get hbo comedy on direct and l love that channel.my guess is cinemax will be off the birds Jan 1st if we dont see any more reports over this. Then it will be a lifetime hell all over again.

HBO Comedy is worth about $5 a month by itself

i agree hbo comedy is one hell of a channel. uncensored stand up is awesome. Comedy Central should show more and do more secret stash's instead of one night a week. I believe they are allowed to have uncensored stuff at a certain time every night since it is a cable network but most networks dont utilize this lovely fcc rule.

I'm glad we had HBO Comedy back in 2000 so we got it when they were showing Dennis Miller, Larry Sanders, and Arli$$ every night. It was great watching those even though after they ran through them 25 times each they got a little old.

Yep HBO is $12.99 here or atleast it used to be I assume it still is. I think it's a rip off on Dish and it's why I don't subscribe to it. Instead I have Cinemax and Showtime although I've thought about removing those.

$17.99 for HBO ?? Why would anyone subscribe to that when Playboy is only 14.99 and TEN or TEEZ are only $22.99.

I'd subscribe to TEN but apparently the state of oklahoma decides what there residents can watch, which to me is total BS. So if dish does remove cinemax thats almost no porn besides real sex and a few shows on showtime damn that sux. Oh yeah i forgot i dont watch cinemax for the porn oops. On a side note wasnt the lifetime war during the first month of the year, if so im pretty sure cinemax will be cut off at 12:01 am on jan 1st. i support dish when it comes to agreements because i bet they get some awful contracts but as of lately there popping up every 3 months or so.HTM dont unsubscribe from showtime they have dexter which is one hell of a show.
