I am aware bandstacking technology limits the functionality of ex-DN Superdish FSS LNBs for FTA use. Will the use of the DP Adapter which unbandstacks the signal for legacy DN receivers similarly allow FTA receivers to see the proper H and V polarities?

I have (jokingly) suggested their unstacker.
It seems it might work.

But, there's nothing wrong with bandstacked FSS LNBs for most modern FTA receivers.
Many have a mode or can be fooled into operating with them.
A number of posts by Iceberg on the subject, bear this out.
And a number of members operate with those same LNBs.

We've even had a thread on the use of the unique DP-34 switch. ;)
. . . and some ideas on how to expand 'em!

yep scan V only but if your receiver doesnt "play well" with bandstacked then all you have to do is for Horizontal transponders take the frequency from 24600 and turn it vertical

so 12000 H becomes 12600 V

I managed to snag a couple of DP Adapters on eBy, so I can experiment. Surprisingly these things are as much as $70 each from some sources.
