I'm sure this question has been answered many times, but I'm still a bit confused.

I have a Dish Pro Twin with a Dish 500 and a 522 dual tuner DVR. As far as I can tell, I have no separate switch. Also, I have two cables running from the dish into my home distribution box.

I want to add a third receiver for another bedroom. (different channels).

I believe I need:
- A receiver, such as the 311
- A DP34 switch
- No additional cabling from the Dish to home.

Is this correct? Any tips?

Does the bedroom need two coax cables? (I think it only has one coax terminal, but under the cover there may be two cables, I haven't checked yet because I'm not sure I need it).

Also, will Dish sell you the receiver, or are they only leasing now?

Many thanks.

You will need a 311 receiver, a DP34 switch or a DPP Twin LNB. If you go the switch route, run the two cables from the current Twin to the switch and run 2 cables from the switch to the 522 and one cable to the 311.

If you with the DPP Twin, run one cable to the 522 and use a DP separator at the receiver. Run one cable to the 311 from the DPP Twin.
