I have an extra Dish 1000.2 that I am installing to replace a Dish 500. I also have a single LNB Dish 300 that I use to catch the 129 location. I'm interested in accessing international channels.

Is it possible to replace the LNB on the Dish 300 to one capable of receiving the 119 and 118.7 location, and input that into the Dish 1000.2 and avoid using a DP 44 switch?

Any help would be appreciated.

The 118.7 is an FSS satellite. It takes a larger dish to collect the signal. I would doubt that the 300 dish would be big enough. You could use a 500+ dish for the 118.7 and feed that into the 1000.2

Just get a 1000+ dish and LNB and get all your programming with one dish, yes you will still need the 44 switch

yes get the Dish Pro Plus lnbf it has a switch built in and then you only need 1 Dish
