I hope this is the correct area for this post.

Hello guys,
I have added a motor to my setup and need some advice on settings. I'm using a 100cm Winegard, Motor is a Geosat pro GS120 motor with the 55mm adaptor tube. Receiver is a Viewsat ultra. My location is Lat 30.41N and Long 84.54 W. That seems to put the 85.00 W bird as my due south bird. I set the motor angle to my site lat, 30. The chart in my manual says to set the dish angle to 25. Here is one question. Lyngsat list AMC16 under freq. TP as 12196 H tp 24 for the digital feed on that bird. However I don't have that freq available in my menu. Also when I set that up do I just bump the dish back and forth and watch the signal meter? I cannot see channels in the setup menu. I have the motor in the installer setting while doing this, correct?

Here's some shots of the setup. Click on the images for a bigger pic.

I appreciate any suggestions on getting this motor set up..

I would not use that transponder for aiming because sometimes it is not active (Right now it is not active :()

So my recommendation is to use your motor and pick a satellite close by (83 or 87) and use that satellite to align your dish.

On my Viewsat Extreme, I go to the Channel Search menu, "Down Arrow" a couple and the "EDIT TP" shows at bottom Left, then "ADD TP" Enter info and Save.

Do you have a "satellite" in your back yard?
