I am moving into a five-year old home in a couple of weeks. I have yet to thoroughly investigate the home's wiring but understand it is set up similarly to most newer homes in that every room is wired with a faceplate enabling connectivity to a couple of CAT 5e outlets and a Coax connection or two.
Assuming this to be the case I plan to have the local cable company (Time Warner) provide cable internet service. Once I get my home network up and running- both wired and wireless- I would look to have a two Hopper/four Joey system installed.
My question revolves around the potential for additional cabling that might be required. Generally speaking can the H/J system use existing home wiring or will this require the installer to run (new) cabling everywhere in order to get such a H/J system up and running?
