Greetings,

I found someone locally selling a used 622 cheaply, so I am thinking about going for it. I have some quick questions for ya'll before I buy it. I assume I should call dish with the serial number to make sure it is clear??

My current setup is dish 1000 and a dish 500 to a DP44. It separates out once it's in the house (basement head end) with a single rg6 running to the original 622, then it goes into the power inserter before going into the receiver (2 rg6).

The second rg6 run goes to the bedroom to an old 501. What am I going to need to do to get a second 622 running (replacing the 501). I want to do this right, I have the ability to run extra rg6 through the unfinished basement.

You want to call dish and clear the "R00" numbers.

Just unhook the sat feed from the 501 and plug in the 622 utilizing the two way splitter looking thing called a seperator. Run check switch (Menu 6-1-1) and that's it.

Add a seperator to the new 622 and you are good to go. No need to run an extra line because you have a DPP44.
