I currently have one 301 and one 612[recently upgraded] both hooked up to phone lines. My new bill shows an additional receiver fee of $5. I own the 301. I realize it' only $5 but isn't it waived when connected to a phone line? TIA

The fee you are thinking of (that is waived) is the Additional Outlet Fee.

???????

You lease 2 receivers and connect to a phone line....
1st receiver has no lease fee.
2nd receiver has a lease fee of $5, $6 for an HD
2nd receiver has an additional outlet fee $5 that is waived if connected to same phone line as first.

So 2nd leased receiver is either $5 or $10 depending on if connected to a phone line.
(Or more if a dual tuner.)

You lease 1 receiver, own 1 receiver, and connect to a phone line....
1st receiver is lease and has no fee.
2nd receiver is owned and has no lease fee.
2nd receiver has an additional outlet fee $5 that is waived if connected to same phone line as first.

I dunno...
But I guess if you owned two 622 without a phone line and did not lease anything, you would owe:

3 Additional Outlet Fee's ($15)
2 DVR fee's ($11.96)
2 HD Enabling Fee's ($14)
1 Set of taxes for all of the above.
1 Set of programming charges.

So lets correct this cause you have some stuff wrong.

You lease 2 receivers as a new customer and connect to a phone line....
1st receiver has no lease fee.
2nd receiver has an additional outlet fee of $5, $7 for an HD
If these are single tuner receivers there is no phone line fee.

So 2nd receiver leased or owned as a new customer is $5

Dual Tuner Receivers are the only ones that have an extra $5 fee if not connected to a phone line

You lease 1 receiver, own 1 receiver, and connect to a phone line....
1st receiver is lease and has no fee.
2nd receiver is owned and has no lease fee.
2nd receiver has an additional outlet fee of $5

Again, I'm assuming you are talking about single tuner receivers in this case.

If you owned two 622 without a phone line and did not lease anything, you would owe:

1 Additional Outlet Fee ($5)
Phone line Fee ($10 One for each receiver)
2 DVR fee's ($11.96)
1 HD Enabling Fee's ($7 and Only if you don't get HD, it's not per receiver)
1 Set of taxes for all of the above.
1 Set of programming charges.

You need a 722 instead of a 301 and a 612 then you can save the $5 when connected to a phone line. Of course you have already used your once a year upgrade so you will have to wait till next year.
