This is what I've been told. My MIL's 722k was doing a reset. It was taking a while (5 to 10 minutes) and seemed to freeze and the MIL decided to reset again. When she looked at the DVR the following day, all of her recordings were gone.

She has an external drive, and those recordings are fine. And the timers continue to work and the receiver is recording now. She has the ~50 or so hours of HD space on the DVR drive, which to me means they are gone.

So the question is, is this a prelude to a failing drive, or did she goof with the reset in a reset? There hasn't appeared to be any errors popping up.

Thanks.

Lost all my recording on my Hopper w/ Sling -- DIRT??

Do i need a Hopper?
