Bought one of these in early May, when I got it I laughed knowing I had been "fleeced" ... not so much, it beats both of my more expensive OTA antennas.

Signal strengths* with this antenna sitting on a old C-band feed setup about 6' off the ground... I can only get either or for some of these stations with the big OTA antennas (have to turn to change) plus I get several I couldn't get with this little gem...

I'm surprised KOBR is stronger than KBIM, isn't their transmitter about 75 mile north of you, or are you picking up the translator off of "C" hill?

That's surprising. Are your other antennas just the antennas alone, not amplified?

I've got one of those that I bought for hilltop DXing. Then I got a Mohu Leaf because it was smaller. The Leaf does a better job!

It looks like KBIM is the only one without a translator in Carlsbad, so I would guess the translator is the source. The other stations (KASA, KENW, KOBR, and KOAT) all have translators in the area. And, of course, KTEL is in Carlsbad itself.

I'll be interested to know more for certain.

KBIM is usually the strongest & I do have amps on the antennas , this device is comparable to my Rv antenna.
