It's frustrating easy to manage. I just go on a once a week deleting spree, deleting Hannah Montana and partial movies. I guess I'm lucky though, because my kid almost never makes the timer recurring. My only advice is lock the events on your DVR you want to keep or move them to external drives. Else wise all the accidental timers a kid may produce could cause you to lose something you want.
