I'm not a soccer fan, but I watch some World Cup matches and did enjoy La Liga on the former VOOM WorldSport channel. However, I absolutely HATE those GD vuvuzelas to the point where I am watching almost no World Cup soccer this year. I would like nothing more than to impale each and every one of those infernal horn blowers.

Still better than the the stupid canned music they play at NFL and NBA games to artificially enhance the atmosphere.

I dont watch it like diehard. I did watch a couple games, I wish I had a vuvuzela filter on my amp. The sound is annoying. A ticket cost $500? holly cow.

The host broadcaster has added filtering to reduce the sound. I hardly noticed them on Argentina-South Korea match this morning.

something to watch when you have trouble falling asleep

No, no; that's baseball.

(And I like baseball, but there can definitely be lulls in many games over te course of a season.)
