Anteanna question

I want to hook the anteanna up so I can receive my HDTV OTA. Right now I have the anteanna connected through 2 diplexers, the anteanna and sat going into one in the basement and the tweo of them being split up upstairs. The thing is, the sat works but the anteanna doesn't work. What do I need to do?
