I have been getting the NPS locals from SF and atlanta for $7.50 amonth,,,,Thought it was $9.00 but I am charged $7.50 amonth as of now...
I really don't watch much Distants but its nice to have if you want to watch something you missed....
I do miss My L.A. Locals that I was getting from Dishtv,I enjoyed the NEws and Car chases from L.A. but now they are gone, and very happy with NPS service that they are giving us if you find a white area to live in lolll so yeaaa can get the NPS service...
Now I have to watch San Franciso stations talking about the Napa Valley and Lake Tahoe areas...I am glad I enjoy wine and enjoy skiing in Tahoe lol......
Just wondering is everyone happy for the past month or 2 of service????JT

I have no complaints whatsoever. I pay $7.50 but do not get NBC as I am too close to my local affiliate. I have a Terk clip on antenna for that. No complaints at all!

Got all of them and my mom and dad have them too on the same account even though they are on a seperate Dish account then mine. I don't think the video quality is worth a crap right now especially the West coast ones. They need those fiber optic cables upgraded quick . I hope that by 2009 that they will go all hd but I don't count on it.

Yea the west coast feeds, which are the ones I care about, still look like analog cable most of the time. A couple of times they have cleared up and I assumed they had the issues fixed, then it goes back to looking like cable. I would cancel because the quality isn't what I expect but I want to support NPS for what they are doing with the distant networks and bailing us Dish subs out when we had no other option for distants. I just don't understand why it should take so long to get these fiber connections up, they'd had since December 1st.

Supposedly the Voom channels have been waiting for fiber optic cables too since a year and a half ago. That was the reason that Dish gave out when the picture quality changed and they went from 1920 x 1080 to 1280 x 1080. I sure hope that NPS isn't doing the same thing in saying that they are waiting for fiber optic cables.

Well I'll throw in my experience with them.
I ordered them online Tuesday around 8:30 PM. The website indicated I was approved for CBS, ABC, and NBC and would have to file a wavier for FOX, and that I would receive the channels within 24 hours.

Around 9PM Wednesday I had no channels so I called them. There was no record of my order. CSR stated it might take another 24 hours to process.
Called again Thursday afternoon, same story.
Emailed this morning, no response.
Called again this afternoon, there is no record of my order. CSR said he could do it over the phone and they would be available within 48 hours.
I had assumed being from Atlanta and SF the channels would be in HD.
Just to be safe I asked the CSR and he said "No, they are not available in HD." I told him I wasn't interested.
Hope everyone else has better luck.

Hummmm I just wonder why you folks are only getting some of the stations?
I am useing a White area address to get the stations and for $7.50 I am not complaining. But its nice to get all 8 stations........
Wonder why NPS would have the SF stations,,,I think if they had the L.A. stations
NPS would be doing a lot better......
I think many more had L.A. stations then SF stations before it went dark....JT

I think they have SF and Atlanta to be "different" from Dave, to make sure they were a separate company and so on, to have no problems with the Distant issue with dish.

Regarding the fiber optic there is a copy of a message from the CEO of NPS saying they have ordered the fiber optic but were quoted 90 days to get them so basically not until march at the earliest. I am keeping my fingers crossed as I hope this fixes the Closed Caption issue in the SF channels.
