I notice for a bit, it's been able to either adaptive stream (like most blu players) or download the full quality file (for slower connections) to view later. This is big for folks who dont have a lot of speed, and I was wondering if any of you have tried HDX downloads and what they output (1080p/24 or 1080p/60). It appears the PS3 can't do DD+, so it converts it to PCM 5.1/7.1 and outputs.

Thie following might not apply to Vudu but:

Note PS3 can do DD+. Older models always convert to PCM, newer can stream.

I haven't tried since my connection is normally fast enough and my TV has VUDU builtin.

Some on the foums over on Playstation.com are also reporting they cannot get DD+ to work.
