any SBC updates?

I know I put this in the FIOS forum, but I thought it would get the most traffic.

Does any one know if any news is out on the SBC U-verse project?

I just moved to SBC (and evil Charter) stronghold St. Louis. Cable here has no competition, and luckily i moved to the ONLY suburb in the STL metro that has ANY competition. But it really isn't that good, but hey what do you expect when you can't get a satellite signal cause my apartment building backs up to a forest.... plus the $300 deposit just to put one up!!!!!!

There has been some posings in the general, emerging, or broadband depending on the topic when discussing SBC/AT&T. I don't remember posting anything in your neck of the woods off hands.

SBC is Project Lightspeed. I don't beleive SBC is progressing with Lightspeed nearly as fast as Verizon is pushing FiOS. The best source of information probably would be DSLReports.com in the SBC forum.
