Does anyone get HD feeds for NHL Center Ice?

Since 10/16, the DISH Gamefinder has listed 28 feeds that were supposed to be in HD for this zip code (96753).

We have not had one single HD feed even though those 28 feeds were advertised as being sent to us.

What happens when you go to those channels via Guide?

Everything in the guide is SD. If I go to the "My HD" filter on the guide (VIP722k), the entire block of channels for NHL Center Ice is not listed.

I'm not purchasing Center Ice this year, due to lack of HD.
See below thread for more explanation

Thank you for that link. Interesting reading.

Apparently, Hawaii does not get any HD at all for NHL Center Ice. Even though DISH gamefinder lists the HD feeds, they do not show up as a choice in our guide when we actually go to watch the game.

I started this thread because on the day that the Rangers opened the season, there was ONE feed in HD. Since then - all games were SD. I was trying to determine if the gamefinder was saying that games listed as HD feeds MIGHT be in HD or whether they really all were in HD - just not in this geographic area.

The link you provided indicates that you also get HD feeds of live games on your RSN's. We get the California RSN's here in Hawaii and for hockey, the LA Kings are considered our local team. All those games are only SD as well.

As I mentioned in another thread, some SD feeds are not too poor. However, the feeds emanating from FOX RSN's are extremely poor quality video.

It sounds like Game Center streaming would be a better choice where you live. Assuming you have a decent internet connection and a streaming device that should get you all your games in HD. It's a bummer if you already paid for Center Ice though. Maybe you can get someone at support to cancel it and refund your money.

They have hockey in Hawaii?

Believe it or not, they have ice hockey on the island of Oahu:

Here on Maui, it's in-line roller hockey. Kinda weird to be walking outside along the beach walk. Ocean on one side, hockey rink on the other.

Personally, I haven't played in over 20 years. Sheesh, my playing days go back to the Greater NYC Ice Hockey League when Bart Grillo and Louie Vairo ran the thing.

lol I was thinking the same thing Chad...
No way would I purchase center ice without any HD at all...
Very cool that hockey has a presence in Hawaii... can you get Molson there as well? ;)

I just laugh about it cause we have a hockey team in Az, and I have no idea why, personally. It's like having a professional surfing team here, or a Jamacain bobsled team.

Sorry to beat a dead horse but this is sorta funny...

Yesterday (10/25) it was a pretty full NHL sked. Here in Hawaii we got ONE game in HD on channel 583.

It wasn't one of the 2 games I was watching but it was HD.

Here's the funny part...
Today (10/26) we are receiving NHL Center Ice channel 583 in HD.

THING IS - there are NO games on that channel!!!

All the games are on channels below 583. So although we are getting a CI channel in HD, all games are still only SD. :)
