hey guys - ive recently acquired an old original Channel polar mount and struggling to find the arc.

a starting question is the angle of the polar mount axis - ive been told it should be set to latitude (for me 51.3) - UK

ive also read it should be 90 minus that figure - giving a reading of 38.7

its been restored so dont have any readings - and cannot find a setup manual (30 years old it would be)

copy of setup manual or any help would be very welcome. (or 2nd opinion on angle)

thanks!!

I'm taking it that your dish is a prime focus?
Polar mounts are pretty much the same.
Just remember the word Polar. As in Polaris.
The whole mount points north star-ish.
Declination will 'drop' the dish and allow it to aim over the equator-ish.
