Are local channels on Eastern Arc in Providence RI. ?

I am considering upgrading my equipment to 722k's and it might be a good time to go with 1000.4 and Eastern Arc. I presently have two 500. Would it make sense to go to the Eastern Arc and will I get local channels off one dish? I don't have alot of tech knowledge but after reading this forum there seems to be alot of favorable comments on the Eastern Arc. What are the advantages?

The EA is all MPEG 4 which uses smaller amount of space on HDD for recording. It is also a newer standard and allows more channels per transponder. Some feel that the PQ is better with MPEG 4 than with MPEG 2.
