AT&T Aquires some DISH Spectrum

TV subs are leaving. Boost is growing. Outside contracts with Flock, et al. Ontech is growing. The Enterprise division is thriving.

After home users, what does DTV have again?? Nothing.
Nothing but a bigger slice of TV subs leaving.

I think it's pompous to crap all over Dish while waving the flag of a company that truly IS dying.
I think it's even more pompous to do it in the Dish forums
i'll agree they are both dying companies!! dish or direct have nothing other than subs leaving em on the t.v. part that's just reailty!!!
wasn't crapping all over dish. it gets frustraiting when they say one thing and you call in and it's a whole nother story!!! that has been fixed!!! ;) now i am a happy camper ;):amen.
also i am not the only one that thinks charile building out his own 5G network was bankrupting him alot of people do. charlie is better off with att as a partner!!! alot of people think att will snag boost customers up.. i'm just going to see how it all plays out!!! will be interesting..
alot of people online are thinking thar charlies going to be having a fire sale!!! since subs are quitting!!!
don't think i won't crap all over direct because i would all i can say it's the worst provider we have ever had!!! were getting rid of them on the 23rd :coco :facepalm

Interesting story related to this:
Adderton, who once ran the US Boost MVNO business that he says EchoStar has run into the ground

FWIW, first time I've ever heard of MobileX...

Here's where he came from

Adderton, who once ran the US Boost MVNO business that he says EchoStar has run into the ground, appears more than irritated that yet another plan to create that fourth MNO in the US has failed, believing that regulators are now content to look away. And he's ticked off that EchoStar gets to keep Boost at all (Adderton declined to comment on a recent Fierce Network report that EchoStar had explored a combination with MobileX).

DISH just announced it is selling phone spectrum to Elon Musk for $17 billion.

This means DISH is now out of debt.

What a crazy ride.
Sets a bad precedent for treating licenses as commodities. Yes, Ergen did build something out, but the intent of the auction was to auction the licenses to corps that'd use them.

Meanwhile, in the new world order, does this fund the Echostar LEO internet plan?

Charlie always comes out on top.
He's the gambler.

Now it's time to create the long anticipated HOPPER 4 with 8 terabyte hard drive with 16 Streams you can record at the same time and 16 satellite tuners and 4 ota tuners and add the PLUS unit inside of it. So you would have a one box hub for all mediums. Everything could go through one HDMI cord to the TV. No more switching inputs. Make it compatible for both Directv and DISH so you can merge the two companies. You would have a pretty good amount of subs again with the two companies merged. :biggrin
