AT&T Knocked for 'Inferior' PEG Channels

The Internet-based technology AT&T touts as giving it an edge over the cable industry was criticized this week by the Alliance for Community Media as providing an “inferior” platform for public, educational and government channels.

If AT&T isn't willing to provide PEG carriage that is comparable to that of any other basic SD channel, then they will soon enough be forced to do so. I suggest they solve these problems soon, before Congressional leaders take an interest, as they did with Comcast. Especially since no channel uses bandwidth unless someone's watching it on the U-Verse system, why not give PEG programmers the same equal access to bandwidth as a regular SD channel?
