I used to watch the C Band Russian bird at 11 degrees W here south of Cincinnati. 4 degrees elevation. Yes I live on the east side of a hill! I have friends in New England that can watch the bird at 1 degrees West from Cape Cod. 12 foot dishes with vertical kits are great! Atlantic Bird 1 should be at about 13 degrees elevation in Hartford. Just check the transmission beam and make sure that It has North American coverage. On Ku a good 1 meter stamped dish might actually be better the a 12 foot mesh.
