Audio Sync problem with Video

I have a 57 element antenna. I just purchased a Hitachi 51" Crt and the over the air channels, 2.1-50.1 look great. However, I'm annoyed that the audio is slightly off by less than .25 of a second. I'm a member of the AV science forum; they told me that it could be the tuner or the source. Once I told them that I was using the TV tuner and there were no problems with dvds and games, they said to contact the source-- the engieering department of the local stations. Do you guys think they advice is acurate.
