Ok welcome to SatelliteGuys and out live Retailer Chat Recap,

The show opens up with Amir and Jim Defranco behind the desk.

The open up the show talking about locals, they are talking about all the markets they just launched.

Dish Now has 143 markets now.

Amir Rambled off a bunch of locals really fast of locals coming soon, which I did not catch. Jim warns us that because a city is announced does not mean it will be online soon.

Now they go off and tell us they are launching Altitude Sports

More to come :)

Now talking about Horse Racing TV.

Jim tells dealers it is important for them to watch the consumer chats and tech forums.

They say 75 million people in the US follow horse racing and this is a major addition for Dish Network. Next year they will launch an interactive version and will be able to wager from their TV.

Now they switch to the Olympics.

HD will be available 8PM on August 13th, It will be available on a DMA by DMA basis, it will not be available nationwide. Dish will be releasing a chart of what areas are available. It will be available to 70% of the households in the United States.

Talking about NBC Interactive they say that there is now a demo online at DishNetwork.COM, the interactive channel will be available via Dish Home starting on August 11th.

New Package, the Dish Latino Everything pack, a Savings of $3.99 a month and includes DVR fees and all premium channels.

A special Latino Chat will be held on the 24th of august for retailers.

Now talking about ESPN Game Plan, you can buy the package or you can buy individual weekends.

Amir predicts that the Clemson Tigers will be this years sleeper.

To order the ESPN Game Plan for $99 call 888-333-DISH

Now talking about the English Premiere League, $299 for the package or $29.99 per weekend.

Now talking about Cricket, talking about Holand cup and ICC Championship.

That wraps up the programming talk now on to promotions, talking about how FREE DISH was saved, they say FREE DISH will be dropped in the future and they want people to learn about DHA.

No changes to the promos although Jim Says FREE Dish will go away on January 31st, no ifs ands or buts.

Now they are taking questions

Nothing on HD??

Once again, sounds like nothing on HD content. NOT EVEN HD horse racin....haha

They just don't have the capacity right now. Maybe when the new 105 bird is up and operational we'll see some annoucements but don't expect much until then.

* Clarksburg, WV
* Charlottesville, VA
* Fairbanks, AK
* Idaho Falls/Pocatello ID (Uplinked to 148°)
* New Orleans, LA (Uplinked to 121°)

Thanks, Tony.

Is there anyway to find if my area is DMA? I am in Strongsville, OH (sub of Cleveland).

Strongsville is squarely in the Cleveland / Akron-Canton TV market

NFL Season Ticket isn't going to happen, it's exclusive to Direct TV for the next several seasons. NFL Network, that's another thing, heck, always say it's pricing and demand situation.

they need to get the NFL NETWORK AND THE NFL SEASON TICKET!!!!!

That's the new Colorado RSN, correct? Will it be available on the multi sport package? I believe Dish Network carries FSN West 2, but only to those in on the West Coast and not a part of the multi sport package.
