Back to the Future Trilogy

Well...I love my home theater vs. a regular theater...but IMAX or the similar experiences like XD still blows it out of the water. Luckily I have a nice IMAX theater close...just none of the XD or similar competitors in the CLT area. My closest XD is also probably 50-60 miles away.

I missed the XD part, but there are only 9 Cinemark XD theaters up and running:

I still think I prefer the 'lesser' quality of my HT over the 750 mile 12 hour drive to the nearest XD theater in Arkansas. Looks like a good deal if you live in SoCal or AZ.

Edit: looks like that wasn't a complete list. I would only have to travel 420 miles in 7 hours to get to Louisville. Amazing that there isn't one in Chicago.

I am booked at a theater with a screen that is as big as a lot of IMAXs (the same theater has an IMAX that was the largest when it was built a couple years ago). The first movie starts at 4:15 in the afternoon, just 14 minutes before the Delorian arrives, but I am not sure what time zone they left from...
