Hi Folks,

Please help???

I have both Windows Media Player ( on both Windows 7 and Windows 11 )
And VLC Media Player ( on Windows Vesta )
How can I "ROTATE" the video playback and maybe SAVED to change???

I noticed the video is "backward" and I can see the numbers is backward
on the video.

The video itself is an MP4 format.

How do I rotate the video???
I recalled from some members on a different forums group
told me that I can do on VLC Media Player and SAVE video as MP4???

But I don't see "Rotate" or
"Rotation" on both Windows
Media Player and VLC Media
Player.
?????

Hope all helps with answers.

Thanks you,
ECruzBUD

In VLC

Show extended settings (at the bottom of the window the icon looks like three vertical sliders)
Video effects
Transform
Flip horizontally
Save

VLC will remember this but being a viewer it can't modify the file.

Hi EatMyVolts,

Thanks,
But is there any software that you
can think of that would allow me to
SAVE the flip-horizontal video from
being "Backward" as in MP4 or other
format???????

Maybe some kind of video editor
software for MP4 files and etc. that has "Transform" to "Flip-horizontal" option on it????

IF so, can you give me the link
to download such software???
Free one??
Windows 7 and 11.

Thanks,

Can you explain what do you mean
"Shortcut Claim a flip feature"??
I'm trying to follow what you meant??
I said Shotcut because that's what I intended.

A careful reading of what I typed along with a good web search engine can be your friend.

As flipping videos is common practice when someone is trying to avoid copyright infringement when using someone else's content, I'd advise that you may be dealing with content that violates copyright.

No, No, Nio, Harshness!!!!
The backward video is NOT
copyrighted!!! It's from a friend
who sent me the video of his
workshop that's "backward".
But don't know how he did it.
And I'm trying to do this on my
own by without getting details
to him. He's too busy to listen.

Thanks!!!

Just simply google "shotcut" (not shortcut like you typed) like he suggested. It's a freeware app. Then you can google "shotcut reverse" and you will see how to do what you want.

If you want something with real power (and with a free version) DaVinci Resolve 18 | Blackmagic Design there's a bit of a learning curve and I only know a very limited subset of its capabilities. Pull up help and search on reverse, about the third hit is what you want.

Resolve is just too much for what the TS is looking to do. I might have mentioned Handbrake but I consider that too much trouble for simple one-click tasks in Shotcut.

I was afraid it might be, but if he ever wants to get real serious for free it is a winner.
