Bad Batch of LNBs? How to tell?

Hello-

I read on another thread there is a bad batch of LNBs that are temperature sensitive. Is there an easy way to tell?

I recently had the guts of my system upgraded via the 721 promotion. They swapped out the legacy LNBs and SW21 for a DP quad and a DP34. Now my 301 occasionally has trouble finding the Fox New Channel (205), which I believe is #16 on 119. How can I tell if this is being caused by a bad LNB?

Unfortunately, I am not 100% sure if when the 301 could not find Fox News if the 721 had trouble. The problem with the 301 is on several channels (same errorr... can't find a certain transponder), but that has not happened on the 721. Is the 721 better at handling weaker signals?

Thanks,

The only well know batch of bad lnbs were the DishPro twins, Lot Code DSS9601, Made in China. The lot code is on a small silver colored sticker right in the center below the lnb signal input cover.
