Bad Hopper or PTAT issue?

When I go into watch PTAT shows one of two things happen...either I get a blank screen the pause icon comes on and it says playback over or sometime during the playback the picture will freeze at the same spot and I can never get past that. Had tech come out he suggested turning of PTAT for a day or two then enable again. He left... I did that and it did not help at all...have another service call scheduled for 10/04 and wanted opinions if I should have hopper replaced? TIA Roy

I was pretty sure it was a bad hopper esp. after looking over threads and mine was a unique issue. I've been with Dish 15 straight years and I've upgraded to a lot of new receivers over those years. This is the first time for a bad unit so I can't complain much esp. since Dish is standing behind product and taking care of issue.
