I have a co-worker who was a Marine deployed in SE Asia in the mid to late 70's. He said they ate dogs there and he has partaken.

Only when you know how. There are a few who don't and complain each time.

Yes. Invited to a wedding party. White woman in front of me in line was scooping up a ladle for her bowl, looked into it, expressed shock, dropped the ladle and moved on.

I lifted the ladle. Bat head. I emptied the ladle and found a bit of leg/thigh. Not bad, if you like earthy.

Most of the indigenous bats were long gone. They imported larger fruit bats from the PI.

When SWMBO and I first reported to Guam, driving near the airport we were behind a pickup. In the back was a tub of ice and a shaved pig. Then it dawned on us those legs were too long…..
