BBCA used to show a lot of British TV, mainly from BBC. My wife (English) liked it for shows like East Enders. Then BBCA dropped that show and continued a slide toward 'not so British' stuff... or at least stuff that you wouldn't automatically associate with British TV.

We went a couple years without it as Absolute subscribers and then when we got it again when we moved to DirecTV, it seems more like it should be called Sify2. Somehow, if the show is Science Fiction or has an actor with a British accent, then it fits into their format model. Since there is a lot of science fiction with actors with a British accent, there's a lot of shows with a double hit for their requirements like Star Trek, The Next Generation.
