Here's my (potential) setup. I would value any input as to whether it would work.

2 Dishnetwork 6000's and a Genpix 8psk->USB adapter (I had an extra 8psk module) for FTA. That's 3 receivers total. For Dishes I would have a Dish1000 for 110, 119, and 129; and a dish with this LNB for 121. I would then run them through a DPP44 switch.

Would that setup work? Would I need to cascade DISEQC switches instead?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You need a DishPro (stacked) LNBF for 121 when using a DPP44.

Thanks for the reply. I'm sorry, but I assumed 121 required an "FSS-capable" LNB as on the SuperDish-121. That's why I searched for the LNBF I linked above...

So you are saying that the Dish1000 and a DishPro LNBF @ 121 would work with 2 legacy recievers (6000's) and the GenPix when ran through a DPP44. The reason I thought I would need the DPP44 is for the legacy receivers. Am I correct there?

Thanks,
Sean

How about answering these questions?

Subbed since '99...that's when and why I'm running 6000's.

I want to get into DVB for FTA with PVR functionality.

I want to get 110, 119, 121 and 129 because I'm interested in foreign language chans (which I sub now) and expanded HD on 129 when I upgrade the 6000's (when mpeg4 forces me to).

I also like the TS reader software from GenPix. Will be very interesting to play with. :)

I'm looking for the easiest setup for current and future compatibility. I currently have 110, 119 with a legacy Dish500 and a Dish300 for 61.5.

Again, all help appreciated.

The 8psk module with 8psk to USB adapter and TSReader work great for FTA. But something is missing. Where is the dish for FTA?

Is there not any FTA on 110 or 119? I'm wanting one dish setup for everything.

Thanks for the response.

no there is no FTA on 110 or 119 or 121 or 129

I guess you really want to see the "Congrats, you have a Dish at 121" or "Congrats you have a Dish at 129"
