BEV - A&E HD - Disappeared

Has A&E HD been removed from the HD programming block? I subscribe to the basics, movies, a few packs and HD, and tonight A&E HD tells me that I need to subscribe to it. This is silly, their HD programming block should cover all HD, if they've started moving things around, I'll dump it and get back into testing.

Hopefully it's temporary, I was happy when we finally got A&E HD this fall.

Are you getting any signal on 82W TP 09? I checked this TP here in the South US and can see the data stream for A&E still exists, not sure if the content is there, but I see a 15-16 mbps stream for it. I didn't notice any changes in the package flags for it during the uplink reports either. I wonder if they subs will chime in around here?

A number of people (including me) lost A&E HD after the free preview was over Nov. 30. I had to call Bell and have them re-activate it. You might try that, or wait, they may eventually fix it for everyone once they discover their error!

I lost it as well and then I called them and lost it "I wanna watch my over stretched SD pseudo HD now "!

Told them I sub to HD and A&E SD so why did I have to call them to activate what I should already be getting.

I got off the phone with a credit on my bill

Long story short, they have screwed up and sent a hit to de-activate the channel regardless of whether you should receive it or not and are in the process of fixing their screw up.

That wasn't the story I got when I called. I got some BS story about how it was new and just "in testing" and it would be back on but she couldn't say when. Before she even looked at my channel package she had expalined that it was just a free preview etc. so I told her that I subbed to both A&E and the HD pkg. What a load of crap. Then a few days later it was back on. She even went as far as to tell me she couldn't turn it back on for me and I'd just have to wait.

Oh well.........even though it's a big impersonal company, it is still run by humans....and I for one know that mistakes are made. Some poor guy at the bottom of the totem pole probably got fired over that.............no, probably promoted!
