I am out of the footprint for many SD and HD channels. If I go to one of these channels I get an error message "Satellite signal temporarily unavailable". This is normal. I am finding that I have additional channels that don't come in, but with a different error message.

"A problem has been detected with your switch. Please run check switch test...

I run the test and I get following:
Satellite input 1 Satellite input 2
Port Port 1 Port 2 Port 1 Port2
Satellite 91 82 91 82
Transponder OK X OK X
Device --- --- --- ---
Status Reception error Reception error
Switch SW44 SW 44

If I go to details of error, I get the following:
Details:

Sat. Input 1 Missing Port 2A Sat. 82 Odd to left

Sat. Input 2 Missing Port 2A Sat. 82 Odd to left (Same as Input 1)

I purchased a new sw44 with same results...Do I possibly have a bad lnb?

The HD channels that I have the problem with switch error messages are:
800, 803, 809 810, 819, 820, 821, 823, 825, 829, 846,847,849,851,860

Does anyone in the So. Cal area get any of these channels? or are they also out of the footprint???

Thanks Dave

it looks like it is not picking up 82. Run a line from 82 directly to the box and redo check switch. There are some transponders on 82 that can be seen in Cali

The dish may not be aimed properly

I am in Los Angeles and have the exact same problem.

It's not you. It's the foot print.

Sorry you wasted money on a new switch!
