Black screen viewing "Bravo" or "USA"

If we are watching Bravo or USA channels, a black screen pops up.
Within that black screen we see "[ffff]"in the top left of the screen.
We occasionally see a repeating web addresses from top to bottom.
If we make any changes using our remote, it will briefly return to normal.
Within a couple of seconds, the same thing happens again. Has anyone ever seen this before? We're not sure if it's the phone line, our TV or
satellite. Have you ever heard of this???

Well, my first guess would be closed captioning, my 2nd guess is that somehow your ird is in demo mode. Aside from that...who knows?

It's the closed caption on your receiver or TV that is turned on the "text" mode. Turn CC off and the problem should disappear.
