I use to think that the reason that my 811 could lock onto an OTA HD station and not show any picture or sound was because that was the way it was locking and it just wasn't making the connection. This has been pretty a regular occurance and from reading on this site a fairly common one.
However, now when I turn on my 811 it does this with satelitte too. A couple of resets seems to do not much. I get the satelite download and the menu download and then nothing. I have to press the info or menu button for this to work and butsometimes it does not.
I have called E* and they are sending me a replacement. We shall see if the replacement works better.
