While there may be other Bluetooth adapters that will work with your Joey, we will not be able to guarantee that these other adapters will work. However, we are able to guarantee that the adapter purchased through DISH will enable the Bluetooth functionality on your Joey.

Possibly! What they are saying is that they will support their own adapter but not any others. YMMV...

No experience with Dish BT adaptor...

However,
Back when...
I learned
Dish WIFI adaptor
Is just a rebranded outsourced adaptor.
And Dish was selling it for less
than its original branded counterpart.
