The above line is a copy and paste from Lyngsat. It's about a Brazilian channel on Hispasat 1D (30 w).I would like to know if is possible to get that channel in Toronto (43n,79w). What kind equipment do I need?

yes it is available

you would need a basic FTA (free to air) system
-30" (76cm) or larger dish
-KU band LNB
-satellite receiver (any FTA receiver will work)

I got 2 kinds of lnb.One is the dish stuff with a 33" dish thats good for dishnet .( I use for 61.5 ) and one Lnb that I don't use that's writen In it: 900 to 2450 mhz
9750 to 10600.

Question 1- is that dish good ?(someone told me that one antenna thats good for dishnet is not good for hispasat).
question 2 - wich Lnb the one for dishnet or the Fta ?
thanks in advance

I use a 36" dish for this channel/satellite you should be good with a 33" dish (BIGGER is Better).

Dishnetwork LNB will not work for this channel, they are circular polarized and this channel will need a linear LNBF.

For example a Standard KU LNBF

RF : 11.7~12.2 GHz
IF : 950-1450 MHz

Using a L.O. of 10750

Watching this channel right now (showinf some wild stuff!) ! Signal Quality here in MN = 75%

"Lnb that I don't use that's writen In it: 900 to 2450 mhz
9750 to 10600."

This LNBF sounds like a Universal LNBF, with a L.O. of 9750-10600 Should and work.

About polarization ,should i tilt the lnb in any position? Or just leave it straight?

Got it .Working just fine .I'm in Toronto I tilt +2 lines on the lnb holder and worked just fine.
