Mine stopped working a long time ago.In addition to the reset suggested by KAB -- which is unplug power from AC outlet for about 30 secs then re-plug -- you may want to do this:
-Press MENU
-System Setup - 6
-Diagnostics - 3
-Then try "connection" first. If it tests okay, you should be good to go. If it states that no phone line is detected, then click "send status" and let it go through its motions.
I honestly don't know the "rhyme or reason" for why this "wakes up" caller ID if you already have it enabled.

No, I'm just going to wait until August and take care of all of my business then.
Like I said, caller id doesn't work on either of my two 211's, so I'll just wait a bit rather than having to talk to the Dish people more than once (I hope!).
