I am putting up a separate dish for 129.

I have a 522 that I no longer use. In the past, I have used it in conjunction with a free tv I got when I opened up a checking account to peak 110 & 119. Will the 522 recognize 129?

Yes the 522, and all other compatible DishPro boxes, can "see" 129. It will show up as OK in the switch matrix and you will get readings on the signal strength meters. However, you will not be able view any MPEG4 SD nor any of the HD channels because they are all MPEG4, as well. The only channels you may be able to view are if your SD LIL's are in MPEG2 or the public interest channels at 129 provided they are in MPEG2 and not MPEG4. The 522 should be capable of receiving 8PSK (I know for certain the 311, 322, 625 and all subsequent DishPro boxes have the necessary hardware for 8PSK, and I believe the Turbo Coding is used only for the HD channels) so the issue will be the MPEG encoding. The 522 is an MPEG2 box.
