Reports of a dispute between the local fox channel and Dish net may lead to subscribers losing Fox 55 in the Central Wisconsin area.

I'm not sure who's not playing ball, but its a dispute over a nickle per subscriber increase.

The local fox channel wants to keep their feed on dish, but Dish Net basicly said screw you, we dont need you and left it at that.

If this happens. that means no PACKERS GAMES and NO NASCAR in our area.

Personally I don't care for either one, but if we lose fox we might as well close our doors, as Fox is a hard channel to pull in on an off air antenna, a huge reason we get customers in this area.

Has this happened to anyone else?
Not just Fox, but losing any local channels in your area over a nickle?

The channel in question is WFXS.

It seems they want another 7 cents per subscriber, or half a penny a day to let Dish retransmit Fox.

It adds up to 10,000 grand a month if my math is correct that Dish needs to cough up to keep WFXS on Dish.

So as it stands we wont have Fox after Oct 1st if this happens.

WFSX claims this increase is to cover licensing fees.

This should be interesting.

This sounds like one of those deals where it's hard to pick the bad guy. Couldn't either of them come up with compromise?

Could it be there is a local cable company with bribe money for station management if they get Dish to back out?

For sure Dish customers are the losers (again)!
