CFB - National Signing Day (Recruiting)

I give Miami a 25% chance of winning the ACC title in 2009.

Of course, I always dread those blah and boring Hokies.

I think they have a BETTER chance than that. With all those freshman getting all that playig time, there is NO reason they cannot win the ACC. No one had better TALENT than Miami in the ACC, they were just extremely young with a new coach.

Butch Davis is lining up a very strong class. Carolina was rated 3rd behind Ohio St and LSU coming into today.

And bad news Sabres, USC is contiuning to get the pick of the litter. They may get more 5 star players than anyone else in the country. I guess we will get to continue seeing the Song Girls in the Rose Bowl.

Carolina can match Miami in the talent dept. Miami's problem was and still is no QB. It's been a while since you've had the likes of Jim Kelly, Bernie Kosar or Vinny at the U.

Damn I love Butch Davis. And USC is loading up.....they are picking MOST of the high end recruits west of the Mississippi while all the of the best is scattered to a bunch of schools.

MAYBE. All kidding aside, this kid Jacory Harris is a very good QB and most of all, a winner! He will get better with the new OC The U just hired. AND with the possibility of signing the #1 and the #3 top recruits....they will be even better!

Of course you do. We disagree with everything. Why should this be any different?

"Botch" is terrible BTW.

Well...I AGREE he sucks as a PRO COACH....but he a very good coach and one of the better recruiters in the country. He also helped clean The U's program after the dirty days of Dennis Erickson. He has improved UNC football program by leaps and bounds.

Really couldn't care much less about RL college football, but the offseason/recruiting really makes the NCAA football games superior to Madden for the most part for me. Anyone else play the hell out of the NCAA football game every year?

I even stopped doing some of the recruiting (as it can become tedious), but just the fact that you have to be a good team for multiple seasons to accomplish things (recruits, rankings, better bowl games) vs what feels like little/no competition for players with the way Madden does free agency.... the game is just much more fulfilling.

Anyways, more or less off topic, I'll stop there

Arrrgh, TN just lost receiver Marlon Brown to Ohio State. This is looking like a bad day for me already.
Picking up Nu'Keese Richardson out of Florida will help the Vols at WR.

And he SHOULD have won a national title.

I will never understand why he left The U after an amazing 2000 seasons for a 3-win Browns team.

Had Butch stayed at Miami, they would have won more titles. Coker basically fed off on Butch's players that he recruited.

Butch was the guy who convinced Bryant McKennie, Willis McGahee, and the late Sean Taylor to attend The U.

Looks like Bama is going to finish "#1" again this year. It all comes down to richardson. RTR!!!:up

Ok, I can get with that. :up

It's called the allure of the ever $$$$$$!! The Browns could not resist. People just don't realize that just because you can coach in college, you can coach in the PROs.

That is true, honestly, If it were me, I would never leave the college game. The way college coaches are paid these days, money would not be a HUGE issue for me. That coupled with the fact that I would coaching kids who would listen to me, vs a bunch of bitchy millionairs.

And truth be told.....UNLESS they are given some kind of partial ownership/VP type of thing....they really DO have more power as a head coach in college.

I really like Florida's recruiting class, again. The did not have the quantatity that the others did, they really didn't need it the 2 deep is so loaded with underclassman.
