Is there anyway to change the remote address on a 722 without the system info screen? The buttons in the front panel of my 722 stopped working awhile ago. Hasn't been an issue, since I never had to use the front panel. Now my remote died and trying to replace it. Going to contact Dish to get the receiver replaced, but anyone know another way to get another remote working, while I wait for the replacement?

If you have a card in it you can pull it, give it a few seconds and the system info screen should pop up.
Does the menu button work on the front of your receiver? It should bring up the system info screen.
Is that an IR remote number 1? If so, dig out or buy a UHF remote, and that should work right away if you never changed the address of that one.
How long after the pull did you wait? It usually takes a good 45 seconds to a minute to pop up.
Good thinking. I found one remote that happened to be using the same address. Back in business until my replacement 722/remote arrives. thanks.
I walked away. Returned 15mins later and still nothing.
