7 months ago I moved from Minneapolis to outstate Minnesota. Of course I expected my local channels to change with the move. (we have 2 receivers)
After the Direct Installer left we found that one of the receivers had Minneapolis locals and the other had Duluth locals.
I've had no contact with Direct TV since the installation and all of a sudden the receiver with Minneapolis locals was changed to Duluth locals.
Not a big deal but how did Direct figure out that the locals were set up wrong after over half a year? Is this an acess card issue?

I would bet someone was just cleaning up a database somewhere and noticed your new service address.
