Channel 73 Locks

That takes the cake. Cancelling your Dish service because a candidate is paying for a channel that you don't have to watch. Thanks for the good laugh. I needed that.
I assume you won't be watching your local channels anymore either, because the candidates are paying for advertising there as well. And let's not forget the news channels (yes, including Fox) because there seem to be a lot of paid candidate advertising there as well...
And if you are tired of the "media shoving obama down our throats" I guess the next 4-8 years is really going to suck for you...

I guess the giant words PAID AD weren't enough to get some to realize this is not an endorsement. Will you come back if McCain buys his own channel, which he is welcome to do?

Don't let the door hit you in the butt on the way out. Jeez, I could see the anger if Dish made our receivers default to this channel, but they don't. Just like anti-porn people aren't forced to watch Skinemax.

So let me get this right.

Not only are some of you upset, but you're also considering canceling your subscription to the lowest-priced digital provider in the nation because one candidate bought a channel and the other one doesn't want to?

Dish DEFINITELY offered it to McCain - he declined.

If Dish really wanted to shove democratic policies/views down your throat, you wouldn't have FoxNews ever again. Stop the conspiracy theories and move on. There's a thing called freedom of speech and it just so happens that everyone is entitled, so why anyone would throw a hissy fit like a 7-year old who didn't get a cookie is beyond me.

Don't like capitalism? Funny, you happen to live in America... I would think that anyone willing to accept the no-bid Haliburton contracts would also accept someone taking advantage of what this century has to offer, even if their views conflict your own.

Grow up.

The channel is physically broadcast on channel 5890 where it's then mapped-down to channel 73 by the receiver.
