charge 5.00 for no land line

In an effort to lower my bills,,as on fixed income,,,,i was inquiring with AT&T as i am bundled for past 3 yrs,,,,,land line,internet, and dishtv.....
I was going to disconnect the land line,,but was informed that dish was waiving a 5.00 fee that they would start charging if disconnected.....They worked out an agreeable plan but was curious if this was correct imformation....No problems at all with dish since they fixed the local pixs some time ago,,,just like to see something besides reruns lol lol

They worked out an agreeable plan because as of Feb 1 dish no longer charges that fee.

IIRC, AT&T is still charging for it.
