Charge to change Premium

I am a new Dish subscriber and I have added HBO and Starz. I am considering switching Showtime for Starz. Does Dish charge a fee for this or can you switch these anytime since the price is the same?

Also is there any charge for downgrading service? ie I may go from AT250 to AT200.

There is a $5 charge to sidegrade or downgrade service.
only upgrades have no charge.

Smart move, if you mean getting Starz instead of Showtime.

and if you're extra nice to the CSR you can have the sideways move price credited. Anytime I did anything like that in the past they were good enough to waive it.

Yeah, most of the time as long as the bill is the same as it was before they will waive the change fee.

Waive the sidegrade fee? Are you guys calling a special number? I have asked nicely several times over the years, and have been turned down every time.

It also depends how ofter you are changing services. If you are changing once every 18 mths or so they will usually waive. Now if this is an every 3 mths thing, it is much more unlikely.
